Amber Rose’s Slut Walk 2015
The Slut Walk came into existence due to the comments that Police Constable Michael Sanuinetti made in regards to a rape at York University on January 24, 2011, he stated,” Women should avoid dressing like sluts in order to not be victimized.”
Sonya Barnett and Heather Jarvis decided to start the movement to protest slut shaming and on April 3, 2011 the first ever Slut Walk took place in Toronto, Ontario. There have many more to follow and on Saturday October 3, 2015 Amber Rose brought the Slut Walk to LA!
