Dreams to Reality Screens at the GCUFF
Synopsis:
In the spirit of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Dreams to Reality is the prequel to the Cleveland based film Hip Hop 4 Life. Told through comedic and satirical color commentary, this film is a how-to-guide to watching urban content. Through an urban intellectual and visually layered lens, the audience views two young men watching the hip hop version of the story of Cain and Able. This Biblical retelling begins with wannabe gangster Cain, retuning home from prison to find his younger brother Abel, has become the most popular rapper in Cleveland. Jealousy, envy and a woman named Carmen, quickly create an intense rivalry between the brothers that transcends both the streets and world of mc battling. This unique film experience highlights some of the best underground rappers in Cleveland’s history, while making you bob your head, laugh and think about the true meaning of hip hop. The success of this film relocated Trillvision.com from Cleveland to Los Angeles and set the stage for the completion of over 150 videos in the areas of music videos, sketch comedy, web series, and documentaries.
